The current systems of placing and removing players from vehicles works, but it lacks in some areas. The removal of escorting people out of vehicles was a step in the right direction, but it's still a bit flawed.
For example, you can't place people in vehicles if the vehicle is locked, but you can still remove people from a locked vehicle. This creates an inconsistency in how locked vehicles function. Being able to simply third eye a vehicle and instantly remove someone is very low effort and can be abused in situations where there should be physical interaction with the vehicle.
My suggestion is to require the door to be opened before a player can be placed into or removed from a vehicle. Individual doors could be opened through the third eye when the vehicle is unlocked, or through the Z Menu vehicle controls.
This would make the process more immersive and create consistency between entering and exiting vehicles. It would also make players think about vehicle positioning and access rather than relying on a simple magical interaction through doors and windows.
This is a small QOL change that improves realism without significantly slowing down everyone’s gameplay.
