Penalty of losing items if EMS arent online
Ive been playing for 2 weeks maybe and im mainly european, at the times im awake around 50-70 others are as well and for the majority of that time there arent EMS online, even in american times there arent that many but thats besides the point, if we’re dying in a roadcrash its unrealistic that no one responds like in real life, so it only makes sense to lower the penalty if theres no EMS online

I died twice today. Once during peak US hours due to a hacker who threw a building at me(I don’t have video, my pc’s recordings being weird and i’m dropping frames with it up so I’ve been changing video settings a lot, turning that off and shadows stopped really bad lag/load tiems in certain areas), and another during an accident(local clipped me while I was pulling in on a trucking job, tank exploded killing me). Both situations had me sitting dead for longer than 15 minutes. I reported the hacker in discord and in game. Both had me scenarios had me unnecessarily losing resources.
In a report to the admins asking if asking in OOCG if EMS was on or not, first b/c I didn’t know 311 exists for ems it also doesn’t tell you one way or another if they are available, I was told sitting around dead hoping someone could rescue me too long is “LQRP” and that due to the volunteer nature of the EMS and city services, that loss is expected in these cases.
If someone sits around 20 minutes waiting for EMS, but has no other means to contact someone who could rescue them… that’s bad role play not on their part but on the members of the city, and then the folks running it. It’s them trying to roleplay out and give EMS an opportunity to do it’s thing, to give someone a chance to help them and build a life debt.
Lastly. I don’t want to ever use this, but folks shouldn’t be punished for a pillar service being unfilled. Two deaths when I’ve been otherwise wildly careful and cautious, both inducing loss is hurtful. Being told the loss I experienced is expected during off hours is deflating, if not outright demoralizing.
