New player feedback

I have two complaints, one about the support and ticket system and the other about the new player experience.

Firstly I purchased the St Patricks Day package because I absolutely love the city (I’m brand new to GTA and RP) and wanted to support you financially. Everything went well with the purchase but the rewards weren’t complete I was missing 5 of each of the items:

• 15 Enhanced Corned Beef (received 10)

• 35 Aluminum (received 30)

• 35 Steel (received 30)

I chatted in the support channel as they’ve been very helpful with small things as I’ve been finding my way in the city. They said to open a donation ticket which I did and I heard absolutely nothing in response only to login to discord this morning to find the ticket gone. The normal support channel said that it would likely be last night because people are just getting online etc which makes sense so I just left it until now to find it just gone. Some kind of timescale/”roughly x-y hours from now” so that users know when to expect a response would be very helpful.

My second complaint is about the rules/banning system and the new player experience with this. I will preface it by statin that I hadn’t read through the rules fully but was playing with a player that had weatched a fair amount of content on RP and has played GTA a lot so I was following their lead while we found our way in the city.

One of the most exciting things happened last night where we saw a green question mark on the map and thought we should check it out. On arrival at the location we heard a beeping and there was absolute chaos happning with gunshots and police fighting some other people. I decided to head towards he red smoke and the beeping while everything was going on and when I got near I got shot. This was by far the most exciting thing that had happened in the city so far in my first foray into GTA and RP. Having never experienced this before or even seen any police activity like this either I was enjoying seeing some action happen despite bleeding out on the floor. Needless to say I was trying to ask the officers if my friend could come and get me to take me to the hospital and eventually I managed to speak to an officer to say I’m new and could they help me get to a hospital because my friend had to leave in his head (a term I heard another player say so I thought it was normal) then less than a minute later I am banned, no warning no explanation apart from some terminology on the ban message, just banned and for 7 days! As a new player this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in over 20 years of online gaming, having never been banned from a game in my life to los access to something I was thoroughly enjoying for 7 days without a warning is just crazy.

I fully understand that you want to keep the RP element at the forefront of the city but for a brand new player finding their way with everything and trying to get some help it’s just off putting. I could undertand a warning or even 24 hour for a first ever offence but 7 days just feels so horrible as a new player.

I have now read through the rules and fully understand the part I played in being banned but I’m not sure I will be returning to the city after this ridiculously exclusive treatment. How can you expect new players to get into RP for the first time if this is how you treat them?
