Looting the dead

It would be nice to be able to loot/search dead bodies, i chased a guy down that stole my car and he had looted a bunch of it. I then killed him since he wouldn’t get out and put his hands up at gun point and couldn’t loot my stuff back from him. Doesn’t make a lot of sense not being able to loot them in my opinion.
