<1 mile hauling deliveries

I’d just like to say that when getting the less than 1 mile deliveries when hauling feels like a waste of time.
I understand that you can still get some chapter progress but as someone with limited playtime each evening, it really feels like a lack of respect of my time as I am using hauling as a source of income.
Would it be possible to remove these “across the road” deliveries or is there a specific reason for them that I am unaware of?
