I don't think hiring more officers is the solution here. We already have over 75 people hired into PD. The issue isn't a lack of hired officers, it's officer burnout and declining interest in being active and playing their cop character.
A lot of officers have other characters, other interests, jobs, families, and limited playtime. Simply adding more names to the roster doesn't guarantee more cops on duty at any given time. If you look at the bigger picture, many officers are logging in less because the gameplay loop has become frustrating.
The focus shouldn't be on hiring more people. It should be understanding why officers are choosing not to clock in and addressing those issues first. If we can improve morale, reduce burnout and make PD enjoyable again, you'll likely see far more police presence than any hiring drive could provide.

Would love to hear ways to improve police presence. What exactly has become frustrating with the gameplay loop? Is there too much criminal activity? Or is it that the cops would like to play on there crims because of the new criminal activity? If it’s the second, then I think hiring more PD would solve some of the issues.
I’m all for improving things on both sides. But we need to understand why you’re not enjoying being in city as PD.
