The sheer volume of supplies required, constant need for electrical repair kits, insane material grinding, and the ridiculous time investment just don’t match the return.
I’ve personally counted up the materials for the maxed out system, and it just isnt worth it. Only makes around 11K in 3 days.
The Process of getting everything, supply wise + the parts i got to buy at digital den
Cost at DD: 8.4K for all supplies
Cost in Materials: 11,600 (Street price)
And that’s not even counting the silicon… which is by far the worst part.
the amount required for a maxed out rig just isn’t worth it, i’ve spent 4+ days just getting the silicon itself! In return? Roughly 11,000 in 3 days once it’s finally running.
After those 3 days, your parts are pretty cooked, so you got to make like 10 repair kits. Which cost a good bit of mats
These mats for 1 repair kit, costs roughly 1K, and if i need 9-10 of them. That literally eats up the entire profit of the crypto rig
That math is terrible.
In conclusion, crypto rigs desperately need a buff.. and honestly, it should be a significant one. Right now the effort, time, and resource sink far outweigh the reward.
