As an admin in another server I feel like the way people are banned is strange and harmful to the server. Although some people appeal their bans I believe the admins should attempt to communicate with the person being reported before banning them. This will help view both sides of the argument without them getting banned and leaving the server without appealing from frustration.
For example I have just read someone got banned for RDM x2 and no initiation but in their appeal they explain how they have had initiation and have a clip of it. A lot of the time the reporter cuts down their clips to incriminate others but the person reported may have more context.
I’m very aware this can be hard but if you give the reported a 24hr period to respond before banning them. If they ignore it and they join the server you can see their intentions clearly are wrong but if they respond and try to defend themselves then there is clearly misinformation because no one in their right mind would incriminate themselves further if they want to appeal a ban.
Please take this in mind as it may help keep higher amounts of players. I have had multiple friends quit because of being banned from this server and they was so pissed off they couldn't defend themselves before the ban they decided to not appeal.
